A new hot pot and barbecue concept, One Pot, is set to take over the space formerly occupied by Joe’s Crab Shack and Seafood Shake at 3720 W Dublin Granville Rd around late summer, early fall according to owner Hangchun Zheng.

“I want this concept that brings family and friends together,” Zheng tells What Now Columbus. “It’s a different experience, and good for a group of friends that are hanging out.”

Zheng says that the planning for One Pot, which is going to require extensive renovations, has been in the works for some time, and more importantly, before the similar concept KPOT opened earlier this year.

In fact, permits recently filed with the city call for an interior renovation that will see much of the dining area replaced, making way for the unique table tops needed for such a restaurant, in which customers boil their own proteins including premium wagyu beef, fresh vegetables, and noodles in various broths, as well as do their own barbecuing.

Meanwhile, the permit also notes that a new floor will be installed, along with finishes to the ceiling, walls, and exterior.
