McDonald’s Is Opening a New Location on Riggins Road in 2024

The fast food chain could open as soon as June of next year.

According to a recent permit filing, construction will soon be underway for a new McDonald’s located at 5171 Riggins Rd. in Dublin. What Now Columbus viewed site plans for the facility and the restaurant will be just over 800 square feet and will have seating for approximately 50 guests.

Larry Drake, Construction Manager with McDonald’s Corporation, tells What Now Columbus that they expect to break ground at the site in March of 2024 and hope to open the restaurant by mid-June 2024. Right now, the site of the future home of this McDonald’s location is surrounded by several housing developments and a United Dairy Farmers gas station nearby. 

As detailed on their website, McDonald’s is one of the world’s leading food service brands and the company has more than 36,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries. The fast food chain is known for their fries, burgers, chicken nuggets and breakfast foods as well as their McCafe coffee drinks and soft serve ice cream.
