Downtown Columbus is set to welcome a new Mediterranean restaurant from local chef and restaurateur Josh Dalton. The upcoming concept will take over the former Milestone 229 space at 229 Civic Center Drive, located in Bicentennial Park along the Scioto Mile.

Planned for a spring 2026 debut, the restaurant will highlight flavors from across the Mediterranean region, drawing inspiration from coastal cities like Barcelona and Beirut. The menu is expected to feature a mix of small plates, dips, spreads, handhelds, entrees, and desserts, complemented by a robust cocktail and wine program.

The space itself will offer a modern yet inviting atmosphere, with seating for nearly 100 guests inside, an adjoining lounge, and an expansive patio overlooking the riverfront. The location will also take advantage of the downtown DORA, allowing visitors to enjoy drinks while exploring the surrounding area.

This addition continues Dalton’s momentum in the Columbus dining scene, where he is already known for restaurants like Veritas, Speck, and Rosalita’s. The new Mediterranean concept is anticipated to be a major draw for both locals and visitors, further activating the Scioto Mile as a dining and entertainment destination.
