The restaurant is moving across the river for their Cincinnati fans.
Nasu Japanese Steakhouse will debut this summer at 5555 Glenway Avenue in the Westwood area. This will be a concept very similar to the business’s flagship location in Newport, Kentucky. Owner Xudan Zheng told What Now Columbus the opening date is looking like July.
The other Nasu Japanese Steakhouse operates at 165 Pavilion Highway in Newport. The restaurant serves a range of cut steaks, chicken, sushi rolls and noodle bowls. Zheng and staff are still working on the menu for the new location.
The first Nasu looks to have opened in July 2022. It became known as a spot for high-end Japanese cuisine with talented hibachi chefs. This will mark four years since their debut.
Zheng’s new project is coming to Westwood on the border of Covendale, in the plaza with businesses like Burlington, Aldi and Western Hills Marketplace. Other restaurants nearby include Thai Taste, Potter House Cafe And Hibachi, and Patrick’s Sports Bar and Grill. This is considered the far west side of Cincinnati.
Per a recent photo, no signage is put up in front of the building, and work is being done on the interior to prepare for the opening. For more information on Nasu Japanese Steakhouse and the company’s Cincinnati debut, visit their Facebook page.
