As first reported by Dayton Daily News, a new cafe is on its way to Dayton, called miDDay, the establishment will be located at 800 S Patterson Blvd. Owned by Greg Innocent, Chris Cheng and Taylor Moberly, the miDDay menu will feature a selection of coffeehouse style beverages, along with breakfast, lunch and early dinner offerings.

All three owners have ample experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries, with Cheng and Innocent coming from liquor sales and beverage director backgrounds, and Moberly bringing around a decade of experience in the coffee industry.

The coffee program will be led by Moberly, who plans to feature a selection of popular TikTok drinks, as well as seasonal beverages in addition to the coffeehouse menu staple items. On the food side, the ownership is aiming to create a “gastro cafe” experience, with elevated American cuisine at the heart of the menu. Some of the offerings will include a breakfast sandwich and wagyu burgers, as well as wings and salads.

In addition to the cafe, the team plans to convert a space near the back of the building into a second concept, which will be an intimate speakeasy with seating for 35 to 40 guests called Good Impressions. However, to start, the ownership’s focus will be on launching the miDDay concept, with the current timeline for opening the cafe in October, and the speakeasy space slated to open early next year.
