A new star is rising in the Columbus bar scene. Astra Rooftop, the latest concept from One Hospitality, is taking over the former Lumin Sky Bar & Kitchen space at 517 Park St.,and it promises to be a standout.
Designed with a “Mediterranean meets Boho” vibe, Astra will offer sweeping views of Goodale Park and the Columbus skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows, making it a dreamy new spot for date nights, weekend cocktails, or just soaking in the city from above.
The food menu, curated by Branden Weigel, former head chef at Forno, will spotlight modern American cuisine with European and Spanish flair. Think small plates, dramatic presentations, and dishes made to share. The drinks will be just as memorable, thanks to beverage director Hans Maggard, whose resume includes Suerte, the acclaimed Austin hotspot. Expect playful, sensory-forward cocktails that look as good as they taste.
