According to a recent permit filing, the Meijer store located at 8000 E Broad St will undergo some remodeling work. As detailed in the permit, the work will entail building walls, electrical, plumbing, flooring work and some painting.

The permit filing didn’t include information on what portion of the store will receive the remodeling work. What Now Columbus reached out to the company about the renovations at the East Broad Street store to learn more about when the work will begin and what will be remodeled in the store, but a request for comment was not immediately returned.

The supercenter chain Meijer has numerous departments throughout each store like clothing, electronics, pet needs and beauty, as well as a full service grocery store that features departments such as a bakery, deli and seafood counter. According to the company’s website, when it comes to groceries, Meijer’s focus is on freshness and the chain offers ready to eat grab and go items like sushi, sandwiches and salads in its stores.
