Pins Mechanical Co. is rolling into Dayton’s Water Street District this summer, bringing games, cocktails, and good times right across from the iconic Day Air Ballpark at 220 N. Patterson Blvd.
Housed in the former Moeller Brew Barn, the sprawling 11,000 sq ft venue opens this summer, featuring two floors filled with entertainment for all ages. Expect eight duckpin bowling lanes, retro pinball and pin pong, giant Jenga, arcade-style pop‑a‑shot, a rooftop‑style patio with fire pits and ballpark views, indoor and outdoor bars serving craft cocktails and local beers—and even a whimsical two-story slide linking the floors.
During the day and early evening, it’s family-friendly; after 9 pm it shifts to an 21+ crowd atmosphere. Prices are playful too: duckpin bowling runs $7–9 per game, pinball is $1 a play, and food trucks will frequently park outside to feed hungry players.
Rise Brands, the Columbus-based parent company behind Pins, is expanding its Ohio footprint: this is the sixth in-state location, with another set to follow in Mason later this summer. Nestled steps from baseball games, Water Street’s vibrant redevelopment is getting a lively boost. Pins promises to play a part in revitalizing downtown Dayton by offering a nostalgic, social hub that runs the gamut from nostalgic fun to evening cocktails—with something for everyone.
If you’re near Patterson Boulevard this summer, make sure to drop by for a roll, a slide, and a pint with a view of the Dragons.
