According to a recently filed permit, Sofi’s Mini Donuts is planning to open a kiosk within the Polaris Fashion Place, located at 1500 Polaris Pkwy. Currently the mini donut vendor sells the treats out of a food trailer at Columbus area events and the outdoor mall Tanger Outlets, located at 400 S Wilson Rd in Sunbury. As detailed in the permit filing, the permit is for work to be performed to add plumbing and electrical utilities for the kiosk, with the total scope of the project estimated at $40,000.
What Now Columbus spoke with owner Yunier Jimenez, who shared that the goal for opening the kiosk is currently slated for May 1, but that timeline is dependent on the permitting process. As for what customers can expect from the Polaris Fashion Place kiosk is a selection of the mini donuts in flavors like cinnamon and sugar, powdered sugar and a variety of other toppings.
Jimenez said plans are also in the works to serve scoops of ice cream along with the donuts, but the exact menu was still being finalized at the time of this article’s publication.
