A new bagel shop will begin serving Northern Cincinnati this spring.
Co-owner Theodore Wininger and his team are working hard to open a new bagel shop The Bagel Group in the Northside neighborhood this spring. The address is 4172 Hamilton Avenue, formerly Katch the Kitchen Restaurant. Wininger told What Now Columbus he and the team are hoping to open by April 1 at the latest.
Visitors can expect hand-rolled bagels, deli meats and steamed sandwiches. Different kinds of bagels like plain, everything and sesame will be served. A full menu will be released closer to the opening.
The Bagel Group was officially registered on the Ohio Secretary of State site on May 30. Now, the team is waiting on permits from the City of Cincinnati. Once these go through, they should be able to announce a firm opening date.
From a recent video, the owners and staff are working on installing kitchen additions and the walls are being painted. Signage is already up in the front. What Now Columbus has reached out to the team and will receive more information closer to the opening date.
