A fresh new concept is buzzing into Grandview Heights. The Hive is set to take over the former Basic Biscuits, Kindness & Coffee space at 1160 Goodale Blvd., bringing new life to the beloved breakfast spot’s cozy corner location. The café was recently purchased by Anthony and Kalie Berin, who plan to reopen the space under its new name.

While full details about The Hive’s menu and concept have yet to be shared, the Berins’ takeover hints at a continuation of the warm, community-centered atmosphere that made Basic Biscuits a local favorite. The location sits just off Grandview Avenue, surrounded by a lively mix of shops, restaurants, and creative businesses that make the neighborhood one of Columbus’s most charming and walkable areas.

The Hive joins a growing lineup of locally owned spots that define Grandview’s dining culture—from long-standing brunch destinations to trendsetting coffee shops and bakeries.

More information about The Hive’s opening timeline and offerings is expected in the coming weeks, but one thing’s certain: this Grandview corner is set to buzz again soon.
