Following the closure of a famous Clintonville hot dog restaurant, a new cafe is taking its place.
From Columbus Dispatch, the third Pine Coast Cafe location is opening at 128 Graceland Boulevard this spring. Staff are already moving into the former Dad’s Coneys and Wraps restaurant that closed on Feb. 14. The estimated debut right now is sometime in April.
Pine Coast Cafe was started by Dearborn, Michigan locals Moneer Abdo and Nasser Mozep in 2020 amid the COVID pandemic. Their latest location opened in 2024 at 3229 Hilliard Rome Road in Hilliard. When What Now Columbus reached out to Abdo, he was not available for comment.
Dad’s Coneys and Wraps has been in the Graceland Shopping Center since 2021, owned by Frank Prince who also runs Talita’s Burritos and Coneys. In a recent statement from the restaurant, Prince thanked loyal customers and welcomed Pine Coast Cafe to the community. It said it will open “after a brief remodel.”
Gourmet sandwiches at the Hilliard location include their classic Philly cheesesteak, the ultimate veggie with freshly grilled mushrooms and zucchini, and the kimchi cheesesteak with ribeye and Korean pepper sauce. One of the main sections of the menu is the burgers, all featuring Halal meat.
The storefront is next to Pat and Gracie’s restaurant, and also betweenBoss Gal Beauty Bar medical spa. This is in a large shopping center featuring a Target, Kroger, T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods. As the Hilliard location is open from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. everyday, hours for the new location are expected to be similar.
