Yogi’s Bar & Grill, a popular sports bar with happy hour every day until 7 pm, is getting ready to open a new location in Grandview at 955 W. Fifth Ave.
The company’s fourth location is set to move into the former home of Rye River Social, which first opened in 2020 before closing in May 2024 for a remodel that was never completed, according to Columbus Underground. Founders Eric Goodman and Greg Tishkoff of Columbus Tavern Group opened the casual sports bar in 2009 at 5857 Karric Square Drive before adding additional locations in Dublin at 3880 Hard Road, followed by a location at 1126 W. Henderson Road. Now, Yogi’s Bar & Grill is getting ready for a new location, which is set to open on March 6.
When the new Yogi’s Bar & Grill opens, customers can expect the same welcoming environment, plenty of drinks, and a menu with regular bar food like pizza, wings, burgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads. The new 4,500 square foot location will have indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of TVs for all the sports viewing. Unlike the other three locations, this new one will have two stories, with the top floor planned as a party area that people can rent out.
This is just the beginning for Goodman and Tishkoff, who chose Grandview for the restaurant’s next location because of its close vicinity to Downtown and Ohio State’s campus. Once this location opens early next month, the company hopes to continue to grow and reach new demographics. While nothing is official, Yogi’s Social Media Marketing Manager, Cassidy Lee, tells Columbus Underground, “We’re not too positive exactly what other locations will be opening, but our hope is to expand again.”
