Rock & Brews Will Close the Colony Outlet in June
KISS members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley founded an American classic restaurant chain, Rock & Brews. The rock music-inspired menu items across around 20 outlets at different locations around the country offer a unique dining experience.
The restaurant has 3 locations in Texas. The first one was opened in San Antonio, then at the Colony, Dallas-Fort Worth in 2015, and Grapevine (DFW) in 2024. One day ago, the restaurant announced that it would be permanently closing the Colony location.
Rock & Brews occupied 5351 Nebraska Furniture Mart Dr, The Colony, TX 75056 spot for the last 9 years. The Facebook post by the restaurant updated that the last service will be made on June 1 and the restaurant will bid farewell on June 2, 2025. The owners expressed their gratitude for the community’s support and invited them to visit during these final days.
A staff member, speaking anonymously, indicated that the closure is part of broader expansion plans. Therefore, they decided to close this outlet. The doors of the Grapevine and San Antonio locations will remain open so that people can have their favorite dishes.
Origin and Growth of Rock & Brews
The origin of Rock & Brews traces back to 2010 when KISS members and some people from the music industry collaborated to open this unique restaurant. A menu of American classics with names inspired by music bands brought fame to Rock & Brews.
Menu items like the Poison Burger, Texas Flood Margarita, and Smoke on the Water pay homage to classic rock hits. Signature cocktails, locally sourced ingredients, and a constant effort to deliver quality have established a connection between the restaurant and its customers over the years.
The restaurant has been working on its growth and quality since opening, and efforts to bring more unique things have always been in favor. The closure of an outlet is definitely sad news for Rock & Brews and its visitors. But a rocking future awaits!
