85 degrees celsius is both the prime temperature for brewing espresso and the name of one of the hottest cafe and bakery concepts currently on the market. The impossibly popular chain has over 1,000 global locations and is preparing to add another-this time in Mesquite.

85°C Bakery Cafe will be moving into 1765 N Town E Boulevard, Unit 133. Paperwork submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation states that renovations are set to begin on the 3,675 square foot storefront on December 8 of this year and should be concluded by April 4, 2026. The work required is relatively extensive, described as “ an interior remodel with new partitions, ceilings, restrooms, plumbing, lighting, kitchen equipment, rooftop mechanical units, two Type II hoods, and a new grease interceptor.”

85°c Bakery Cafe has enjoyed enormous success and rave reviews since its founding in Taiwan in 2004. The concept’s objective is relatively simple; to provide the highest quality treats and coffee without an equally high price tag. Customers have been blown away by the eatery’s commitment to quality, which the website describes, saying: “Each cup of coffee is individually brewed with Guatemalan coffee beans for a smooth, rich taste. All of our drinks are handcrafted and made to order. Each store features an in-shop bakery with over 50 varieties of pastries baked fresh hourly. Our gourmet cakes are uniquely crafted by our award-winning master chefs. We strive to bring our customers the best products possible by paying careful attention to every detail which may affect its taste.”
