Panther Island Brewing is a popular craft brewery in Fort Worth. The brewery announced on its social media that it is closing its doors. The announcement shocked Fort Worth’s brewing community and the brewery’s loyal fans.

Panther Island Brewing Company to Shut Down Operations

Like many independent breweries nationwide, Panther Island Brewing faced ongoing operational and financial challenges. A Fort Worth special, Panther Island Brewing, is now joining the growing list of breweries closing across the country.

It became a go-to spot for locals seeking craft beer in a casual, community-focused setting. In a recent announcement, the company revealed that it is concluding its 11-year journey.

The company wrote, “We’re endlessly proud of the beers we brewed, the stories we shared, and the people who made it all meaningful.” They thanked the staff, artists, and musicians they worked with, as well as the community, for their unwavering support.

The taproom served its final weekend, Feb. 7-9, and will remain closed for a short time before its farewell event. Patrons have a last chance to raise a toast to the memorable journey of Panther Island Brewing.

The brewery is hosting a farewell event on Feb. 13 from 6 to 10 pm. After this, it will shut its doors forever. No specific reason for the closure was cited, but it surely left a void in the community that used to gather there for occasions.

Panther Island Brewing started with the emphasis on small-lot production and friendly craft beer. The brewery quickly became part of Fort Worth’s growing craft beer scene. It established a portfolio over the years that included both year-round and seasonal products. Products range from crisp lagers and hop-forward IPAs to darker styles and experimental releases.

Besides its beer, the brewery also hosts community events, pop-ups, food trucks, and live music. Their taproom and outdoor space were popular gathering spots, cementing the brewery’s role in the neighborhood. Panther Island beers were available across Texas, from local bars to major retailers.

This closure marks another significant exit from the Fort Worth beverage scene. Its contributions to the city’s craft beer scene and its community-driven approach leave an indelible impact on patrons who have supported it over the years.
