Pappalecco, originally founded in San Diego, is opening its first Texas location in Plano. Inspired by the 20-year legacy of the original Pappalecco in Italy, this cafe, founded in San Diego, is carrying that heritage and extending it across the U.S. The café aims to create a community gathering space for friends and families.

On January 10, 2026, the new store will open with festivities, special guests, and irresistible offers. The Plano store is owned and operated by Jolly Chen and Chi Yan and is a family-driven venture. Aiming to create a space to share leisure moments with family and friends, this place is more than just a cafe.

The new Pappalecco store will open at 1009 14th St., Unit 600, in Plano. To celebrate the grand opening of the store, festivities will begin at 11 a.m. It will be followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Mayor Muns.

Following the ribbon-cutting, Pappalecco will offer 50% off on all menu items, excluding alcoholic beverages for guests during the opening weekend. The offer will be available throughout January 10 and 11.

Signature Menu Items Highlight Italian Tradition

Guests can enjoy classic Italian café favorites, including gelato, coffee, and pastries. Offering favorites from the original location, the store has several captivating items on the menu. Menu highlights include the Marocchino, which is a blend of espresso, Nutella, and frothy milk.

Meanwhile, the Caffe Freddo, a cold brew blended with gelato of choice, and the Affogato, which is a gelato topped with a hot shot of espresso, are other must-try drinks. There are also croissants filled with gelato, pastries, paninis, and more to try at the new cafe. Guests can also enjoy watching gelato being made fresh in front of their eyes.

Following the opening, the store’s timings are between 7 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday, the café will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
