DFW diners will soon be getting a taste of an East Coast favorite. Amada, the first concept launched by celebrated Chef Jose Garces, has filed paperwork for a Dallas location, with work set to begin early next year.
Amada will be setting up its kitchen at 155 Riveredge Drive as part of the River Edge building. The forms submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that the restaurant will have a dedicated 6,864 square feet of space in which to greet and serve customers. DFW foodies will have time to build some anticipation for the new eatery; work is set to begin on construction on February 1 of 2026 and should wrap by July 30, suggesting the possibility of a late summer or early fall opening.
Chef Garces opened Amada’s first location in Philadelphia in 2005. The menu focuses on “authentic Andalusian Tapas” and has earned considerable acclaim from both critics and diners. The concept currently has three East Coast locations-alongside its original Philly home, Amada has restaurants in Radnor, Pennsylvania and Atlantic City, New Jersey. Amada was acquired by the SPB Hospitality restaurant group in 2024. The new owner intends to spread the concept’s signature fare across key national markets.
