It looks like a local shop specializing in artisan boudin and Creole and Cajun cuisine is getting its first storefront. Beaux Boudin could open at 1821 South Fielder Rd. in Arlington in early 2024, according to a recent project filing. The space will undergo a remodel before opening to the public.
Beaux Boudin currently ships its products and offers local delivery in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The brand also sells its products at area farmers’ markets.
Jeffery Crump and his wife, Melissa Hernandez, opened Beaux Boudin “to see the cuisine of Boudin and dishes of Southern Louisiana purvey themselves outside of just a regional food but become a staple for all Americans to enjoy and eventually the world,” according to the brand’s website.
Crump is from Houston and enjoyed his first bites of boudin, etouffee, and gumbo from his French-Creole grandmother, Clementine. His appreciation for the history and culture of Southern Louisiana grew through family reunions in Louisiana and trips to New Orleans.
Crump now shares his passion with others at Beaux Boudin, which offers menu items such as boudin, boudin balls, gumbo, and jambalaya. The menu features high-quality ingredients that are free of additives and MSG.
