A Pacific Northwest coffee chain that values service and humanity as much as it values a great cup of java is plotting a new DFW location. Black Rock Coffee Bar has filed papers to open a storefront in Denton’s very own Providence Village, with work scheduled to begin this summer.

The cafe will be getting a newly erected building at the northeast corner of US 380 and Main, according to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The forms further specify that Black Rock will span 1,400 square feet and dining space will be available.

Hot weather brings hot coffee this year; work will commence on the project on June 19 and should be wrapped by September 19-a positive sign for those hoping for a late summer or early autumn opening.

Black Rock Coffee has been pouring out hot and cold cups of coffee for satisfied customers since 2008. The chain has enjoyed success thanks to its commitment to putting people-be they visitors or employees-first and foremost. Black Rock lives by a simple guiding ethos: “we set out to build something simple but meaningful — a place where coffee could fuel connection.”
