It is said that good things are worth waiting for, and superior chicken definitely qualifies as a good thing. DFW residents have exercised patience in anticipation of a new poultry restaurant, certain to make even the most skeptical of fowl-afficionados cross the road-and soon that patience will be rewarded. After more than a year in development, Bonchon is preparing to open in Flower Mound later this year, reports Community Impact.

The Korean chicken joint will be opening in a remodeled 2,918 square foot storefront located at 2450 Cross Timbers Road, # 100. The restaurant has been in development since December of 2024, and while initially franchisee Shoil Narsidani anticipated being customer-ready by March of 2025, openings are always moving targets. A representative for the chain says that now Bonchon will be open in Flower Mound in March of this year.

Bonchon was founded in South Korea in 2002. The chain made its way to the US in 2010 and immediately won chicken fans over with its “hand-battered, double-fried, crazy crispy Korean fried chicken”. The brand now has more than 147 locations open and operational nationally.
