Fort Worth diners hungry for a taste of Italy have a new reason to love the summer. Ervin Cibaku and chef Ferdinand Plaku have teamed up to open Buonissimo, an upscale new Italian eatery, in downtown Fort Worth later this summer, reports Culture Map Fort Worth.

DFW foodies will be able to fill their stomachs at  150 Throckmorton St. #140 when the restaurant opens in the City Place Center development. Buonissimo will be keeping the space’s legacy of delicious Italian cuisine alive, as it is taking over the storefront vacated by Avanti.

The eatery does not yet have an official opening date, however Cibaku and Plaku anticipate serving guests in late July.

Cibaku wants the restaurant to have an upscale feel without an upscale price tag. He is also hoping to differentiate Buonissimo from other Italian eateries on the market-he explains “”We’re definitely doing something different. We’re seeking inspiration by the north of Italy, not the south side — from the Venice area, that’s where the chef is from.”
