Cap’t Loui is bringing its famous seafood boils to a ninth state, with a Carrollton location set to open by spring of 2024. Franchisee Hanna Rhee said the opening is the fruition of a long-held dream she shared with her husband, Danny.
“My husband and I had a dream to open a restaurant. We started to pray about it and God gave us confirmation of peace about it years ago,” Hannah told What Now Dallas. “We were looking for a location for a year and a half, and God made this happen in the blink of an eye. It’s been a journey of praying, waiting, and seeing a dream unfold.”
When it came to selecting the type of restaurant, Hanna said, “My brother is in the business and he’s the master franchiser of the restaurant. We thought, ’we love this place, why not?’ We hope for this to be the first to Texas, and more to come in the future.
Currently available in Alabama, California, Georgia, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island, the restaurant offers a variety of boils and seafood specialties. The menu varies by location, some offering Po’ Boys, a raw oyster bar and fried fish, but all offer a saucy selection. Customers can choose between Cap’t Loui’s signature sauce or a lemon pepper sauce, and select the spice level for their boil.
