A popular java chain is preparing to end a caffeine drought that’s gripped Grapevine for over a year. Caribou Coffee is filling the void (and the building) left when Scooter’s Coffee vacated the area last year, reports Community Impact.
The chain will be renovating the vacant storefront at 897 West Northwest Highway, starting June 30. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation describes the relatively extensive work required as “Replacement of some equipment for a former 664 SF coffee shop for new coffee shop with new brand equipment and re-branding the building with new paint colors and signage, adding some site lighting, and changing the drive-thru equipment.”
The renovation of the 664 square foot space is set to wrap by September 10; Caribou anticipates opening the revamped storefront at some point in autumn.
Caribou Coffee has been pouring hot cups of joe for delighted fans for 33 years. The concept opened its first storefront in Minnesota in 1992; the chain has since become a global sensation, with more than 800 locations.
