A new concept will bring surfing and a restaurant/bar to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Fireside Surf is expected to open at Grandscape in The Colony in the fall of 2023.

The family-friendly Fireside Surf has partnered with Citywave to create an authentic surf experience. Waves from knee-high to head-high will allow surfers from beginner to pro to catch a wave. Bodyboarding and Body Surfing are also options.

Beginners will get Learn-to-Surf Lessons for the basics, have access to a surfboard, and can use handrails, if needed. Intermediate and advanced surfers will practice front-side and back-side turns and rail-to-rail surfing, according to the brand’s website. Fireside Surf plans to host elite-level training sessions and surf camps for expert and pro surfers.

The restaurant and bar will offer specialty-crafted food and drink menus. Diners can view the surfing action from the Splash Lounge as they enjoy a meal. Local chef John Franke curated the menu of fusion bites to pair with a craft beer or signature cocktail.

Shareable options include the Fireside Slider Tower, Fig & Mushroom Flatbread, and Crispy Coconut Shrimp. Guests can enjoy handhelds such as the Ahi Tuna Burger and Broken Arrow Venison Tacos, or they might choose from various bowl options, which include Chicken Macadamia, Steak and ‘Noodle,’ and Vegan Buddha. All day, every day brunch will be served, and youngsters can choose from the Little Surf Shredders menu.

Fireside Surf will be located at 5772 Grandscape Blvd. in The Colony and is co-owned by Bill Adams, who brought the iFly franchise to Seattle and El Paso.
