After building anticipation for over a year, a popular taco chain is counting down the days until its Celina opening. Torchy’s Tacos has set an official opening date for its new neighborhood location and it is coming soon, reports Community Impact.

Work began on Torchy’s new 3505 South Preston Road, Suite 300 storefront last February. Local foodies who have been patiently awaiting the opening of the 3,800 square foot restaurant can at last breathe a sigh of relief. Torchy’s will be opening its doors to its adoring and hungry public on April 15.

Torchy’s has been burning up the taco scene since its inception in 2006. What began as a food trailer became a local sensation and is now a chain with more than 110 locations spread across the country.

Torchy’s owes its longevity and popularity to its commitment to “damn good food”. As the website explains: “Made with fresh ingredients, full of curated flavors, we pushed the boundaries of what people thought a taco could be. We weren’t going to serve something you could get anywhere.”

Celina residents will soon be able to choose from a menu featuring a range of tacos made with various proteins, often christened with fun and unexpected names like “the hogfather” and “the tipsy chick”. The restaurant also offers bowls, salads, burritos, and all-day breakfast.
