Unused grain silo towers and its adjacent building in Celina are getting a major overhaul come next year. The set up at 300 N Oklahoma Dr will be turned into a restaurant and whiskey and wine bar. It is expected to open early spring 2022.
According to The Dallas Morning News, the old silo building will be turned into an upscale lounge, and a new building will be constructed to house the restaurant. A large patio with outdoor seating will connect the two spaces. Cabanas will also be available for rent for larger groups.
The concept is being brought to the growing area by owner Michael Arani and operations manager Eric Harnett. Harnett previously owned Destinations Wine Bar in Fairview, which closed in March 2021.
Guests can expect a simple menu with brick oven pizzas, burgers, tacos and charcuterie boards. According to Arani, the silo structures are “about a hundred years old” and the incoming restaurant and bar will be designed to “maintain that industrial rustic look.”
The Silos will also offer classes on making beers, spirits, and wines.
