Cheba Hut is experiencing something of a growth spurt. In addition searching out a new Phoenix-area location, the sandwich shop serving toasted subs, is in the process of opening a store in the Fort Worth restaurant space on 8th Ave that last housed Super Chix.

Permit documents obtained by What Now Dallas indicate the company plans to make a few slight alterations to the existing structure. The work is currently out to bid.

Although you can meander over to 2808 Main St. in Dallas’ Deep Ellum for your munchies cure, the 8th Avenue store will be Fort Worth’s first, so you probably want the details. Cheba Hut started back in 1998, when Scott Jennings decided to bring together great sandwiches with “a very specific kind of counter culture.” We’ll leave exactly what that means up to your imagination.

The Cheba Hut menu features over 30 signature sandwiches, salads, Rice Krispy treats, and (there’s that word again) munchies. Many locations also serve up a selection of craft brews, locally sourced. Cheba Hut helps you “escape the established” by combining “homegrown food with real people in a relaxed environment.”

An opening date has yet to be announced, but at least you’ll know where to go when you’re in the mood to unwind. Check out Cheba Hut sandwiches on the gram.
