A popular hospitality group is bringing the Dallas dining scene an extra dose of comfort. Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen has filed the papers for a new location, likely to open in mid-to-late 2026.

The concept from Darden Restaurant Group is coming to 3500 Dallas-Fort Worth Turnpike. Hearty homestyle cuisine is still a bit away for Dallas locals-the forms submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicate that work is set to begin on the Cheddar’s on August 4 of this year. The project is set to conclude by March 14 of 2026. While this does not provide an iron-clad opening timeline, it does suggest Cheddar’s may be open sometime late next year.

Described as a “new construction”, the restaurant will provide Cheddar’s with 6,723 square feet to greet and serve customers.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen has been a presence on the dining scene since 1979. The restaurant has deep Dallas roots; it was founded in Arlington, Texas. The chain has since expanded to include 187 locations.
