Chicago Street Food Finding its Way to Fort Worth

Portillo’s is opening in the Tanger Outlets Fort Worth before the year it out.

Fort Worth foodies, get ready to say “hot dog!” Portillo’s, a popular chain dedicated to bringing Chicago-style cuisine to anyone hungry for it, is opening a new location in the region later this year, reports Culture Map Fort Worth.

The restaurant will be opening as a part of the Tanger Outlets Fort Worth on North Freeway Boulevard. The 6,250 square foot storefront will be located near the East parking lot. According the the official announcement made by Portillo’s, the new Fort Worth location will feature double drive-thru lanes, pick-up shelves, and a grab and go retail area.

Portillo’s will have space to accommodate both diners who prefer to savor their meals indoors and those who hope to enjoy the weather on nice days. The restaurant’s interior will be able to seat up to 120 guests and the exterior will accommodate another 40.

The Chicago chain expresses enthusiasm about its next DFW endeavor, saying: “Once we open, we hope you’ll cake shake in to enjoy our signature menu items like Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake.”

No official word on when, precisely the Tanger Outlets storefront will open, however Portillo’s official announcement states the restaurant will be opening later this year.
