A sweet new day is on the horizon for DFW ice cream enthusiasts. Cold Stone Creamery, known for its distinctive approach to the world’s favorite frozen treat, has filed papers to open a new Fort Worth location, with work scheduled to start this spring.

The sweet shop will be serving up scoops at 3400 TX 114, Suite 105. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that Cold Stone Creamery will be moving into a renovated 1,656 square foot storefront. Work on the project is just over the horizon; construction is set to commence on April 20. The ice creamery should be completed by July 1, and while this does not guarantee an opening date, it does suggest the store may be ready to serve up the delicious, frozen treat alongside the hottest season.

Cold Stone Creamery has been on the dining scene since 1988. The brand has stood out to fans thanks to its unique approach to the sweet snack-as the website explains: “Our ice cream is made fresh in-store. Each flavor is churned with the finest ingredients and mixed with your choice of candy, cakes, fruits, or nuts on a frozen granite stone.”
