Avra Estiatorio to Open in Dallas at The Crescent
Avra Estiatorio is a Greek and Mediterranean restaurant that will open on Friday, September 19, by the restaurateurs Nick Tsoulos, Nick Pashalis, and Marc Packer. The restaurant will open in The Crescent, a premier mixed-use development in Uptown Dallas.
The Dallas opening marks Avra’s 25th anniversary. Since debuting in New York in 2000, the brand has expanded to Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and most recently, Sunny Isles Beach in Miami.
Avra Estiatorio highlights fresh seafood, seasonal ingredients, and traditional Greek cooking, bringing the ambiance of coastal Greek tavernas to Dallas. The new Dallas location continues Avra’s focus on premium ingredients, from seafood imported from Europe to hand-pressed extra-virgin olive oil.
Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Avra Estiatorio, Nick Tsoulos says, “We’re proud to bring an exceptional dining experience to the heart of Dallas, where a stunning ambiance meets outstanding Greek cuisine. We believe our concept fills a gap in Dallas’ dining scene, and The Crescent was an easy choice given its commitment to excellence in every detail. Our vision aligns perfectly with that standard. We want our guests to experience not just a meal, but a journey—where each dish tells a story, made with the finest ingredients and served with unmatched hospitality.”

The Design at Avra Estiatorio
Avra Estiatorio Dallas has an area of 14,000 square feet and a seating capacity of 350 patrons. The space, designed by the Rockwell Group, is a combination of modern and Greek tradition. Natural stone, light linen, and greenery integrate a natural touch throughout the space.
There are decorative works like 300-year-old planters brought from Greece, which contribute to the authenticity. The restaurant has two outdoor patios and multiple private dining rooms that can be used during events and other meetings.
The dining room has a full bar, which serves as a social center with a wide choice of cocktails, wines, and spirits. The design overall is focused on a combination of elegance and comfort, which is in line with the hospitality vision of the brand.
Menu Highlights
The Dallas menu of Avra Estiatorio revolves around fresh seafood and seasonal food, as well as Greek dishes. Classic dishes are Avra Chips, Whole Grilled Branzino, Lamb Chops, Prime Steaks, Grilled Octopus, and classic dips. Many recipes are rooted in co-owner Nick Tsoulos’ family traditions, with ingredients sourced from Mediterranean farms and local purveyors.
Visitors may also choose fish in an ice display, including Branzino, Red Snapper, Wild Dover Sole, and Mediterranean variations of Fagri and Lithrini. Seafood can be grilled, baked in salt, or eaten raw in the form of carpaccio and ceviche, typically topped with the traditional Ladolemono of Avra.
The beverage menu features an international wine list with a heavy input of the Greek vineyards, a comprehensive spirits menu, and craft cocktails such as the Helios Heat, Santorini, and Mykonos Breeze.
