In news that is certain to make the mouths of DFW carnivores water, one of the region’s hottest barbecue chains is planning a new location. Hurtado Barbecue is bringing its beloved cuisine to Argyle in 2026, reports Community Impact.

The local favorite will be opening its next and fifth location at 421 US 377. Hurtado is taking over the space which previously housed St. Argyle’s Cajun Kitchen and is eying a March of 2026 opening.

Hurtado entered the hearts-and bellies-of hungry DFW diners in 2019. The business began as a food truck that became a brick and mortar in 2020. Fueled by a meat-forward menu and a passion for barbecue, Hurtado now has locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Mansfield.

The Argyle storefront will see partners in life and business Brandon and Hannah Hurtado serving up their sumptuous cuisine in their own backyard. The couple currently reside in the neighborhood and are excited to help shape the local culinary scene. Brandon Hurtado stated in an interview with Denton Record-Chronicle: “I’m just excited to add a unique spin … in a community that deserves lots of options for food. It has grown exponentially over the last five years alone, in Argyle and the surrounding area. So, we’re excited to be open and give people one more option for great food.”

Customers at Hurtado Barbecue’s Argyle location can look forward to enjoying “family recipes made from scratch”. The menu includes platters, plates, and all the meats a diner could hope for, from classic favorites like brisket to unexpected treats including quail and jalapeno glazed chicken.
