One of the DFW’s busiest hospitality duos is preparing to bring the region its next favorite restaurant. Chef Habip Kargin and Hayko Sherenian, not content to rest on the success of their Selda Mediterranean chain, are opening a new concept called Elia Greek Tavern and local foodies will be able to check it out later this year, reports Culture Map Dallas.
The eatery will be serving up a fusion of Greek and Turkish cuisine at 205 North Bishop Avenue, which residents may recognize as the previous digs for Nora Restaurant and Bar which closed in May. It is not yet clear when, precisely, Elia Greek Tavern will open its doors to customers, however Kargin and Sherenian plan to be ready to serve customers at some point this summer.
In addition to a superior seafood-focused menu, Elia Greek Tavern will be adding to Bishop Arts’ late-night community; the restaurant will be open until 2 am. Future regulars can look forward to a casual but sophisticated night out; Sherenian explains: “It will be upscale but cozy and relaxed at the same time. We want the customer to feel as if they just had a meal at a small family restaurant in Greece.”
