Ever dreaded having to choose between a delicious taco and one of the DFW’s best burgers? Mad Concepts Group sees you, hears you, sympathizes and is offering a practical solution. The hospitality group is opening a restaurant park featuring its incredibly popular Jakes Burger brand and Mexican concept called Tacos & Avocados in North Richland Hills. Ground was broken earlier this month and guests will be able to stop in for a delectable meal in 2026, reports Culture Map Fort Worth.
The dual restaurant concept will be setting up shop at the northwest corner of Davis Boulevard and Lola Drive. Each concept will span 4 to 5,000 square feet, with a shared outdoor space between the two.
Courtney Lindley, Mad Concepts founder and president, explains the drive behind the project, saying: “People visit restaurants for great food, but they return for the service and the experience. We take pride not only in our menu but also in the environments we create. The backyard area in North Richland Hills will serve as a vibrant community hub, bringing people together beyond the dining table.”
Jakes, founded in 1985, has earned incredible acclaim through its history in the DFW. The concept, which has garnered critical praise and awards for its burgers, offers a menu replete with burgers, sandwiches, wings, salads, platters, and mac and cheese bowls, has become a staple of the Dallas-area dining scene.
Tacos & Avocados, founded in late 2024, brings innovation to Mexican cuisine. A press release pertaining to the concept states: “Known for vibrant colors, bold flavors, and a lively atmosphere, Tacos & Avocados creates a place where friends and family can gather, share a meal, and enjoy some of life’s best moments. With its playful spirit and creative menu, Tacos & Avocados truly serves up the best T&A in town.”
While there is still a bit of time between guests and the restaurant park, an opening is on the horizon. Jakes Burgers and Tacos & Avocados anticipate being ready for customers by autumn of 2026.
