A restaurant concept that has been serving North Texas customers for several decades is adding a third location to its roster. Dos Charros is planning to open at 180 S. Collins Rd., Ste. 400 in Sunnyvale sometime early next year, depending on the remaining renovations at the space. Dos Charros has two locations currently in operation in Emory and Richardson.
Alexander Molina’s mother, Eva Molina, is the owner of Dos Charros, but he will be operating the Sunnyvale location as general manager. His sister, Nancy Santibanez, will be the chef and operate the kitchen.
The Sunnyvale Dos Charros location will have a full bar with a more modern ambiance compared to the other two locations. “We really wanted to take a more modern approach to this restaurant. We are excited for it. It’s going to be great,” he said.
“Our architect has really done a great job designing the restaurant for us,” Molina said. They plan to add a patio in the future, but for now, Dos Charros in Sunnyvale will have indoor dining available to guests.
The menu will be the same. Some popular menu items include their spicy fajitas and selection of enchiladas. “Our seafood plates are really popular. We have fresh snapper, tilapia, grilled shrimp with garlic butter,” he said. “We just want to bring a great Tex Mex restaurant to that community.”
