A full-service restaurant that serves breakfast all day looks to be moving into Fort Worth. According to a recent project filing, construction on a new Ellen’s Restaurant in Fort Worth could begin this spring and wrap up in fall of 2023.

The newest addition to the brand would be located at 601 S. Main St. in Fort Worth. The space is a two-story restaurant coming in at just over 8,300 square feet.

Ellen’s is a restaurant and bar serving made-from-scratch, classic Southern food and a variety of coffee and espresso drinks. Breakfast is served all day, so you can get steak and eggs or Pancake Pot Pie with layers of pancakes, sausage gravy, bacon, hashbrowns, eggs, and cheese for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Other offerings include Mexican breakfast items such as Huevos Rancheros, or a variety of Benedicts.

Lunch and dinner options are also served all day long. A variety of salads are offered including Crunchy ‘Maters, which is Southern-fried red beefsteak tomatoes, mixed field greens, Texas goat cheese, olive tapenade, and balsamic reduction. Soups, burgers, sandwiches, pastas, and a variety of entrees including meatloaf, salmon, and buttermilk fried chicken are also offered.

Ellen’s has two North Texas locations—in Allen and Dallas West End. What Now Dallas earlier reported on two other Ellen’s locations that are being planned for Dallas.

Ellen’s was founded by Joe Groves, Chef Russell Mertz, and partner Andrew Chooljian in 2012 in honor of Joe’s mother, Ellen Groves Corlee of Fort Worth, according to the brand’s website. The restaurant’s goal is “to provide exceptional, homemade comfort food inspired by the rich traditions of Southern cuisine.”
