It’s never too early to get excited for the summer-particularly when those warmer months promise to bring delicious new dining options. Luckily for DFW foodies, summer of 2026 already promises to be an exciting one, thanks to Escondido Tex-Mex Patio. The beloved local concept is planning to open its second location, this time on Greenville Avenue, next year when the weather gets hot, reports the Dallas Business Journal.
Dallas diners will be able to stop in for $7 Margarita Mondays at Escondido’s new 3519 Greenville Avenue home. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation pertaining to the location shows that the restaurant will have a dedicated 3,000 square feet.
Escondido is renovating the space vacated by Blue Fish Sushi. Owner Jon Alexis states in a press release provided to What Now Dallas that he is excited to bring the eatery to such a vibrant and lively location. He says: “Greenville Avenue is electric right now. We can’t wait to bring Escondido to one of our favorite dining districts.”
Alexis is well-versed in the DFW dining scene; the restaurateur can boast several area favorites, including TJ’s Seafood Market & Grill, Birdie’s Eastside, Ramble Room, and Malibu Poke.
Dallas foodies have plenty to look forward to when Escondido opens its doors next summer; “Escondido will feature a lively bar, upscale dining room, climate-controlled patio…and one of Greenville’s largest private parking lots.”
The restaurant has received a wide range of critical acclaim. The Dallas Observer has listed it as one of the 12 Best Tex Mex Restaurants, one of the 12 Essential Restaurants in North Dallas, and credited it with the Best Queso. Dallasites 101 shouted out its accommodations, saying it has one of the Best Patios.
