Nothing beats a good sandwich, and Saginaw diners will soon be able to sink their teeth into some of the best on the market. Construction is slated to begin on a new Firehouse Subs location in the neighborhood this spring.

Helmed by local franchisee Ryan Franklin, the shop will be located at 1005 North Saginaw Boulevard. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that work is set to begin on the new Firehouse Subs location on May 1 and should wrap by August 1 of this year.

The renovation will provide the eatery with 4,000 square feet of space to greet and feed customers.

The chain is in good and reliable hands with Franklin. The franchisee has considerable hospitality experience from established brands including Lone Star Steakhouse and Texas Land & Cattle Steakhouse. A PR Newswire press release announcing Franklin’s connection to Firehouse quotes him as saying: “We expect nothing but the best in Dallas and that is exactly why I decided to grow the Firehouse Subs brand across the market. From our food to the business model, I’m confident that our way does beat their way.“

Firehouse Subs has been a steady presence in the hospitality scene since 1994. The Florida-based eatery has expanded to include 1,250 locations.
