Hoffbrau Steak and Grill House will open a new location at 1101 N Holland Rd in Mansfield.

Construction on the forthcoming restaurant is expected to take about six months, starting in February 2022 and wrapping up by the end of July. The 8,110-square-foot space will be a newly constructed stand alone single building and will cost an estimated $450,000. Hilda Rodriguez, an award-winning Dallas-based design firm, will work on the project.

Co-owned by Aron and Rainey Fogiel, Hoffbrau Steak and Grill House offers a winning mix of Texas cuisine and country homestyle classics that are made from scratch daily. One of the unique aspects of the steak house is that several of its recipes have been handed down generation after generation, including the recipe for its steak that is only seasoned with Kosher salt and pepper. “We believe that our quality Certified Angus Beef brand steaks taste good without a lot of seasoning,” the brand’s website reads.

The restaurant’s signature steaks include chuck’s sirloin, Sal’s ribeye, coffee-rubbed ribeye, bone-in cowboy ribeye and the Texas two-step – two top sirloin steaks served on grilled onions and topped with fried onion strings. Chicken fried steaks, burgers, pork chops, ribs, chicken, shrimp and fish are also on the menu.

Sides include salads served with house-made dressings, soups, chili, potatoes cooked four different ways, steamed veggies, roasted corn and mac and cheese. For dessert there’s peach cobbler, banana pudding and Ghirardelli double chocolate brownie that’s topped with a scoop of ice cream and chocolate sauce.

A nice selection of drinks includes beer, wine, teas, lemonade and specialty cocktails such as electric cowboy – made with Texas-founded Western Son’s blueberry vodka, blue curacao, lemonade, and 7 Up.

Hoffbrau Steak prides itself in being family-owned and operated since 1978 when the first restaurant was opened by Mike Powers on Knox St in Dallas. That location closed in 2001. Two other Hoffbrau Steak locations were previously open in Dallas – one at 311 N Market St in West End and the other at 7601 Campbell Rd in North Dallas. Both have since been closed.

After nearly 40 years, Hoffbrau Steak’s only Fort Worth location at 1712 South University Dr closed its doors in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The brand currently operates four locations in Amarillo, Benbrook, Granbury and Haltom City.

Hoffbrau Steak is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
