Peanut butter and jelly. Chips and salsa. White wine and fish. Some culinary pairings are simply too powerful to ever truly separate. One of the strongest dining couplings is burgers and beer; the duo are nearly inseparable. McKinney diners are about to find a new reason why-Hopdoddy Burger Bar is nearing its area opening reports Community Impact.

The restaurant will be bringing its smash burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, and selection of local craft beers to 8565 West University Drive, Suite 100. McKinney locals who’ve been anticipating Hopdoddy’s arrival can finally circle a (general) date on their calendars; the eatery will be opening in mid-November.

Hopdoddy launched its first location in Austin in 2010. The chain has found considerable success, expanding to include 46 locations-most of which are concentrated in Texas.

The restaurant has become an invaluable element of every neighborhood it enters through both its philanthropy and its food. Hopdoddy works hard to elevate local musicians, providing grants and opportunities to burgeoning stars.

The cuisine, of course, keeps customers coming back for me. The website explains: “Hops are a flower used to make beer tasty & Doddy is a nickname for Black Angus cattle. Put them together and you have Hopdoddy! The world has plenty of places to get a burger & a cold one… we’re just dedicated to do the best rendition out there.”
