It appears that diners in Hudson Oaks, just west of Fort Worth, will get a new Tex-Mex option. Chuy’s Tex-Mex is planned for a spot just west of the new Hudson Oaks’ Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, which opened in April 2023.
According to a Facebook post by Hood & Parker County Economic Development News, Chuy’s has been planning a spot in the area for a few years. The planned space at 2701-2761 Interstate 20 will include a freestanding restaurant at nearly 7,000 square feet. There’s no word on when construction might begin on the restaurant or when it will open to the public.
Chuy’s Tex-Mex serves fresh ingredients in dishes based on family recipes from South Texas, New Mexico, and Mexican border towns. The menu features a wide selection of Tex-Mex favorites including appetizers of queso, nachos, and quesadillas. Diners can enjoy handmade tortillas and 10 homemade sauces such as Ranchero and the fan favorite Boom-Boom with roasted New Mexican green chiles, tomatillos, green onions, and cilantro blended together with cheese.
“Big As Yo’ Face” Burritos, tacos, fajitas, salads, and enchiladas are other options. Guests can enjoy margaritas, mojitos, other cocktails, beer, and wine. Chuy’s was founded in Austin in 1982 and now has dozens of locations across the U.S.
