A Philadelphia favorite chain is bringing Dallas diners a treat worth losing sleep over. Insomnia Cookies is preparing to bake its way into the hearts and stomachs of DFW residents with a new Tarrant County location.

The popular brand, beloved for its delicious, freshly baked cookies, will be setting up its ovens at 5000 Belt Line Road Suite 430. Dallas locals will need to exercise some patience when it comes to satisfying their sweet teeth; paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that work isn’t set to begin on the bakery until December 1 of this year and should wrap by April 13 of 2026.

The renovation of the 1,100 square foot space will be relatively extensive; the submitted form described it as: “New walls, finishes, fixtures, and paint.” Tarrant County cookie fans are certain to find the wait worthwhile, however. Insomnia has been perfecting its recipes since it burst on the scene in 2003 by University of Pennsylvania student Seth Berkowitz, who founded the company as a means of fueling late night study sessions.

Since those humble beginnings, the company has spread to over 300 locations. The menu features a range of cookies, ice cream, cookie sandwiches, and cookie cakes.
