Denton residents with a hankering for orange chicken, rejoice. Panda Express is working on a Lewisville location, according to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The enormously popular American-Chinese chain is no stranger to Denton; the new storefront-located at Herbon Parkway and Lakepointe Drive-will be the the company’s third in the region.
The documents submitted to the TDLR show that construction began on the 2,697 square foot restaurant on December 9, 2024. The project is set to wrap on July 9 of this year, suggesting locals might be able to enjoy Panda Express’s cuisine in late summer or early fall.
Future Lewisville regulars and employees can look forward to a shiny new facility for the fast-casual Chinese concept. TDLR paperwork describes the $2,000,000 project as a “New Ground Up Fast Food Restaurant”.
Founded in Glendale, California in 1983, Panda Express has proven enormously successful for those hoping to enjoy a quick meal beyond the standard burgers and fries. The chain has expanded to include more than 2,400 storefronts worldwide, and shows no signs of slowing its growth.
