One of the DFW’s busiest restaurateurs is getting ready to change the face of the local Italian dining scene. Phil Doko, the mind behind Lone Star Cafe, is debuting a new concept called Italian Table in Keller later this summer, reports Culture Map Fort Worth.

The restaurant (complete with a bar, for those who indulge) will be opening at 1520 North Main Street as part of the Center Stage mixed-use development. While a precise opening date is not yet available for Italian Table, Doko and crew are aiming to begin serving guests by July.

The eatery’s debut will be the culmination of work that began last fall. According to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation construction started on the project on October 31 of 2024 and was set to wrap by February 3 of this year. Described as “Construction of first-generation restaurant for the preparation and consumption of food in an existing shell building”, the renovation will provide Italian Table with 2,345 square feet of space with which to serve heaping plates of chicken fettuccine alfredo and shrimp scampi.

Keller diners can look forward to enjoying a broad selection of Italian favorites served in what Doko’s son Elham describes as “heavy portions.”
