M Crowd Restaurant Group, the hospitality brand behind Texas dining destinations including Mi Cocina, The Mercury, Vaqueros Texas Bar-B-Q and Monkey Bar Highland Park Village, is set to open its newest location—Monkey Bar on 9—on the ninth-story rooftop of the Tru by Hilton Dallas Market Center. Monkey Bar on 9 will open to the public Friday, June 13.
Perched above the city with sweeping views of the downtown Dallas skyline, Monkey Bar will serve as an elevated, approachable retreat for both locals and visitors. The rooftop venue features a spacious outdoor patio and an indoor bar, offering flexible spaces ideal for private corporate events, social gatherings, and casual happy hours.
Designed by Foxcroft Studio, the space blends warm, moody textures and lush greenery with design nods to Mexico.
Guests can expect the same quality of service and vibrant spirit found at M Crowd venues, alongside a premium cocktail program rooted in authenticity. The bar menu mirrors that of Monkey Bar Highland Park Village with signature margaritas and a lineup of classic cocktails made with cold-pressed juices, while the food menu features a selection of shareable favorites including queso, guacamole, nachos, and more.
“Monkey Bar is more than just a rooftop venue—it’s a place to escape, take in the stunning view and relax in open air with friends or coworkers,” said Edgar Guevara, CEO of M Crowd in a statement. “We’ve built on the experience our guests love at Monkey Bar Highland Park Village, but this location offers a larger space ideal for private parties and the wow factor of expansive views. Guests will enjoy the Dallas skyline from a new perspective.”
In addition to daily service, Monkey Bar was designed with private events in mind. The venue features 5,500 square feet of bookable space, available for full buyouts and private events for 20 to 200 guests. With customizable indoor and outdoor layouts and a separate outdoor bar, the venue offers a stylish, turnkey option for corporate receptions, celebrations, and social gatherings. While the everyday menu highlights shareable bar favorites, expanded catering menus are available for private events, tailored to suit both intimate gatherings and large-scale functions.
“Dallas is a city that knows how to host, and Monkey Bar is ready to deliver,” said Todd LeBlanc, Director of Catering and Events. “From sunset cocktail hours to private receptions with skyline views, this space will elevate any event. Our team brings the same hospitality and precision we’re known for at Mi Cocina to every detail.”
Monkey Bar will be open daily for ages 21 and over. Hours are 4 PM to 10 PM Monday through Thursday and 2 PM to 10 PM Friday through Sunday.
Located at 1949 N. Stemmons Freeway, the venue will attract Dallas Market Center visitors, corporate professionals, hotel guests, and longtime Mi Cocina regulars looking for a new place to unwind with a cocktail and a view.
