A New York-based bakery that has had a stranglehold on the DFW in 2026, is continuing its year of domination with yet another location planned. Maman has filed papers to open a location in Plano, with work tentatively set to start this summer.

The bakery and cafe is set to take over a renovated storefront located at 7200 Bishop Road, Suite D-11. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation offers a peak at the scope of work required for the 3,102 square foot eatery as “new walls, finishes, kitchen, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing”.

The work is projected to commence on June 7 and to wrap by December 20 of this year. If this timeline plays out, Plano locals may be enjoying Maman’s treats before the year concludes.

The concept brings a French flare to its delicious treats. The website offers this peak at what Plano diners can look forward to: “ each of our cafés reflect the unique character of the neighborhood they’re in. from rustic exposed brick & toile wallpaper, charming wooden farm tables, & signature blue and white china, there’s no need to look far & wide.”
