Manny’s Tex Mex, the family-owned restaurant known for its handcrafted favorites and legendary hospitality, is unveiling a new elevated concept at CityLine with the opening of Manny’s Mexican Kitchen.
Located at 1250 State St. across from CityLine Plaza, the new restaurant shifts the spotlight to authentic Mexican cuisine with a “More Mex, Less Tex” philosophy. The concept blends time-honored recipes and vibrant regional flavors with a refined aesthetic, while reviving the electric atmosphere that has made the original Uptown Manny’s a Dallas staple since 2005.
The 5,115-square-foot space features a lively, colorful setting designed for gatherings and celebrations. The dynamic interior provides the perfect backdrop for handcrafted cocktails and traditional homemade Mexican dishes. The restaurant partnered with Coeval Studio to design the space.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Manny’s Mexican Kitchen to CityLine and introduce a new dining experience that’s full of flavor, culture and personality,” said Marissa Gonzalez, CityLine marketing director in a statement. “Located just steps from our Plaza and signature events, we’re excited to continue growing a dining lineup that brings people together and gives our guests something new to discover every time they visit.”
The menu highlights rich regional specialties rooted in tradition and layered with bold, soulful flavors. Standouts include the tender Pasilla Short Rib, slow-braised Chamorro en Adobo and Michoacan-Style Carnitas, alongside favorites like Chicharron Norteño, Pork Belly en Salsa Verde and house-made Quesabirria and Birria tacos, each crafted with authenticity in every bite.
To complement the cuisine, Manny’s Mexican Kitchen offers a curated lineup of vibrant, flavor-forward cocktails. The Jalisco Punch delivers a lively paloma served in a traditional cazuela, while the Chapultepec is a smoky mezcal creation inspired by the relaxed elegance of Oaxaca. For a celebratory twist, La Cubanita reinvents the mojito with a splash of Champagne. Playful options like the Sr. Miyagi and refreshing La Mula round out the cocktail highlights designed to be just as memorable as the food.
“With this new concept opening at CityLine, we want to showcase our roots with more traditional recipes from Mexico and reintroduce the vibrant atmosphere of the first Manny’s,” said Nicole Hernandez, office administrator at Manny’s Mexican Kitchen. “It’s about honoring where we started while inviting a new generation to experience the flavors and energy that made us who we are.”
Manny’s Mexican Kitchen joins CityLine on the heels of other new restaurant openings, including Show Mini Hot Pot and Crimson Dragon Café. Visitors can also explore a wide variety of dining destinations such as The Brass Tap, Edoko Sushi & Robata, Good Union Urban BBQ, Tricky Fish, Oni Ramen, and Saravanaa Bhavan.
