One of the DFW’s most innovative and acclaimed chefs is helping to cement Dallas as an unmissable dining epicenter with his brand-new Mexican concept. Omar Flores, the mind behind such mainstays as Even Coast and Muchacho, is spearheading Maroma, set to debut in the Design District this fall.

The restaurant from Flores and Big Dill Hospitality will be getting fresh new digs to launch the fresh new dining experience. Maroma is moving into the newly erected Thirteen Thirty Three Building located at 1333 Oak Lawn Avenue.

A press release provided to What Now Dallas offers insight into the cuisine, saying it “will focus on coastal Mexican cuisine, inspired by the ceviches, aguachiles, specialty seafood dishes and mesquite grilled meats perfected in the region. Pristine seafood and prime steaks take centerstage with a modern, sophisticated yet simple approach to each plate. Offerings are designed for communal enjoyment, creating a lasting impression.”

An exact opening date is not yet available for Maroma, however Dallas foodies will be able to sample the latest from the James Beard recognized Flores this September.
