Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is renovating 3,662-square-foot space at 3827 Lemmon Avenue, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The plans outline updates to the interior and patio of the space, with an anticipated completion date for the Nashville-based restaurant sometime this fall.
Hattie B’s is the product of father-son duo, Nick Bishop Sr., and Nick Bishop Jr. who began offering chicken with “a variety of heat levels” sometime in 2011, becoming official as Hattie B’s in 2012.
A decade and a dozen restaurants later, the website says, “we still feel like we’re at the beginning of our story” and it seems that Dallas is the next chapter.
The menu is comprised of bones, wings, and boneless chicken options plus a variety of creative sides like “Dirty Bird Fries”, fried pickles, pimento Mac and cheese, bacon cheddar grits, southern greens, creamy Cole slaw and more.
Customers can choose their spice level from: Southern, Mild, Medium, Hot!, Damn Hot!! And Shut the Cluck Up!!! — the last of which is obviously the most daring of the spice scale. Explore the full menu and locations at hattieb.com.
